Wasted Nostalgia

Artist's Statement and Commentary:

"Wasted Nostalgia" focuses on the subject of nostalgia and how things aren't always as good as we remember. "Wasted Nostalgia" analyzes how nostalgia can be both comforting and deceiving. While we remember memories as the best moments of our lives, after deeper reflections they were just ordinary days. "Wasted Nostalgia" follows the ways we try and reach the level of joy we feel from nostalgia by engaging in vices, revisiting hobbies, or meditation on the past until ultimately accepting we can’t return to the past and instead make the present the best we can.
